Over the past year CDN Planning with Halcrow have been preparing a revised regeneration framework document for Porthcawl, which will include new housing up to 1350 units along with new commercial and leisure development. The project will help to revitalise this coastal town in South Wales, regenerate the existing harbour and introduce a new waterfront promenade linking the existing town centre in the west to Trecco Bay to the east. Consultation on the new strategic document is now being undertaken by Bridgend County Borough Council with adoption of the document as an SPG expected some time before Christmas.
