Torfaen County Borough Council CDN Planning has been appointed to undertake a study to identify site options to a address the accommodation needs of the Gypsy/Traveller community

CDN Planning is currently acting on behalf of Torfaen County Borough Council to undertake a Gypsy/Traveller Study.  The study will quantify the need for and identify potential new permanent/temporary Gypsy/Traveller site(s) in Torfaen, including capacity for a potential full or part replacement of the Council’s only permanent site.


The study will also develop a criterion-based policy for the development of Gypsy/Traveller sites and identify potential new permanent/temporary site(s) within the emerging Torfaen Local Development Plan.


CDN Planning will also undertake extensive consultation will  be undertaken with key stakeholders, including the Gypsy/Traveller community in Torfaen and seek funding sources/applications for the development of new permanent/temporary site(s) and the refurbishment of existing sites.
