CDN Planning provided development control services through the commitment of determining up to eighty full planning applications per calendar month for a six month period in 2002. CDN Planning was employed initially on a short-term basis, for the purposes of dealing with a back-log of householder planning applications. At the time RCTCBC was finding it difficult to reach the ‘8-week’ target and therefore sought external assistance.
Through its employment, CDN Planning provided the security that all applications received were dealt with within the 8-week statutory period, so much so that RCTCBC expanded the contract for a further three months. No single recommendation made by CDN Planning was overturned by the Authority’s Planning Committee as a result of its objective, professional and consistent approach to its case determinations.
